Preprogramming a Hik Camera for a Dahua NVR
Since we will see this with the occasional Good2Go's, here is what I had to do to get a Hik camera added to a Dahua NVR. We will need to do this before we send out a camera.
Activate the camera through SADP.
We can use either the existing Dahua NVR password or the password in the CRM.
Makes no difference because either way we have to manually add the camera upon installation.
Enable DHCP.
Configuration->Network->Basic Settings
This is so the camera picks up the internal NIC of the existing NVR.
Enable ONVIF.
Configuration->Network->Advanced Settings->Integration Protocol
Enable Hikvision-CGI.
Configuration->Network->Advanced Settings->Integration Protocol
Adjust the Hikvision-CGI Authentication to “digest/basic”
Configuration->Network->Advanced Settings->Integration Protocol
Add a Media User on the same Integration Protocol page.
Configuration->Network->Advanced Settings->Integration Protocol
I have no idea what it accomplishes, however, I couldn’t add the Hik camera until I created it.
Just click Add and use admin as the User Name and select the Media user option.
Adjust the RTSP and WEB Authentication to “digest/basic”
Configuration->Security->Authentication
That’s it.
