Click on advanced setup.

Set DHCP reservation for DVR MAC address to reserve the IP you gave the DVR and click apply. You should set the DVR to static IP (uncheck the DHCP in DVR network setup)

Go to security, Port Forwarding

Select DVR IP (That you input into DVR), put in the starting and ending to 80, TCP protocol and click apply. Do this for 80, 8000, 10554, and  443. (or whatever you changed them to in ports of DVR. Not a bad Idea to change them. I.E. 8000 change to 8020, 80 to 85 or something like that).

After you forward ports go to www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ to check that they are open.

Also in DVR setup make sure you set the preffered DNS & alternate. To 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4

And lastly, enable DDNS and give your DVR a name in lower case letters. This will be your www.hik-online.com/randy-nvr webiste to access remotely. You will also add by HiDDNS in your phone and software.

DONE!
